Sounds like a fun night! That is why I don't get a dog. But, I guess having kids is not any different. They often wake you up puking at night too. And they get into things they shouldn't. So I might as well go ahead and get a dog . . .
Oh my gosh, girl! I've had a scare before like that, myself. Came into a room to find my 2.5-pounder chowing down on a reese's peanut butter cup and almost died. It was Christmas night and all I could think was PLEASE DON'T DIE ON CHRISTMAS. Had to induce vomiting and deal with that all night. So, I feel your pain!
This is exactly why our kitchen is gated-- well okay not exactly why. Really it's gated because if anything is left on the counter our pups like to jump up and grab it. We've lost many pounds of raw meat because of this. We kind of learned our listen. Lol.
I felt so bad for Jag! I am assuming you never truly found out how he got the cocoa?? Crazy! And what did you give him to induce vomitting? I have a greyhound that got into chocolate once and I had to pay the vet instead of being able to deal with it on my own. Pray tell your secret! Btw, I love the sticky notes. Never seen that before! I am just visiting from the SITSta-hood and wanted to say congrats on being the FB today!! I'm LDS, too and you might enjoy my blog! I'm adding you to my favs! www.carissamason.blogspot.com

Mary - you know you aren't the neighbor I"m referring to! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd if you want a dog, I have a cute cocker for adoption...cheap!
Oh my gosh girl! That is horrible!!! I hope you can rest up today and I'm so glad your dog is ok.
ReplyDeleteThe Houdini comments is funny! I had a dog eat all the Bit-O-Honey candies from a basket, after she unwrapped all of them.
ReplyDeleteYou have a way of making me laugh, yet feel awful at the same time!! Haha. Poor pooch..... and poor you..... and poor carpet!

ReplyDeleteOh no!! At least you knew what to do, so you don't have to spend $$$$ at the emergency clinic! Hope you get some sleep soon!

What a scary event, and yea umm the dog is Houdini.
ReplyDeleteOh, no! Been there with the vomit staining the carpet forever. Why must they always puke on the carpet and not in the bathroom tile?
ReplyDeleteHope he's doing okay now! I swear, sometimes I think my dog is too smart for his own good. Stopping by from SITS.
ReplyDeleteDogs are just like kids aren't they? Always getting into a big chocolate mess! Lol.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you wrote this. I'm so sorry your poor doggy went through this but I'm glad he is okay.
ReplyDeleteHappy SITS Day!
Cheers :-)
