Anybody remember the line from Sex in the City when Carrie sees the newest Manolos in the store front window? I felt the exact same way this weekend. My sister and I took a fun little trip to Albuquerque. Imagine my delight when we saw this little gem:
(What? You don't know of my infinite love of Dunkin Donuts? You can read all about it in my love letter to Dunkin Donuts and my letter to Cupid !)
We went to Dunkin Donuts this weekend 2 days in a row. I won't tell you how many donuts I ate because it's embarrassing. Unfortunately, my favorite donut, the VANILLA CREME (yes, this deserves all caps, special colors and a marching band) has been discontinued. It was extremely disappointing. I was able to console myself with a bavarian cream though. And a toasted coconut. And a chocolate glazed. And a....oops, I've said too much.
I am considering opening a Dunkin Donuts franchise in Utah. It is beyond me why no one else has thought of this. Now if I could just get my hands on $150,000 in start up fees.....
Gosh darnit, my hubby always says it takes money to make money. Whatever that is all about.
ReplyDeleteI could use a donut, or 10.
Yummm, donuts! I LOVE donuts! Your making me drool on my keyboard!
ReplyDeleteDELICIOUS! Remember when I brought you one!? They were delicious. Although I really, really don't think you can beat a maple bar from Harmons...
ReplyDeleteMics...did you kick your legs out when you said DELICIOUS!!?? Cause that's how freaking A-Mazing they are! :) Miss you!
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious!!! I'm glad you got to eat your heart out!
ReplyDeleteI wish Tim Hortons would expand into the States. Now THOSE are some yummy donuts.
ReplyDeleteMy dad was a baker at Dunkin Donuts for 33 years :) I liked the "tractor tires" (French Cruellers), chocolate cake donut, and blueberry cake Munchkins :) I used to go to work with him and fill and frost the donuts. He met all three of his wives there, he hired them. YAY Dunkin Donuts!
ReplyDeleteSo many people love Dunkin Donuts--I thought they used to have one here in the 80s. I'm glad you had a good time. :) BTW, I love the new look of the blog! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen we took Christopher to Boston a little over a year ago, I told him we would see lots of Dunkin Donuts, and I didn't disappoint him, starting from the airport. We laughed every time we saw one. We also ate more than we should have. Love ya Stac!
ReplyDeleteStopping in from SITS. I love the look of your blog!! I like Dunkin Donuts too. They closed down around here, then reopened with Baskin Robbins. I was SO excited. It's dangerous to go in one now. Dangerous to your waistline that is.
ReplyDeleteme too, me too...i love DD. And, I drink NOTHING but DD coffee, too. Have you tried it??
